The 16-foot RWE boat was designed for the angler who likes a little excitement in their life. When the fish stop biting, that is the time to try those waves that have always tempted your wildest dreams. The 16-RWE hull is the same hull lay-up and design as our standard Lavro Drift Boats. It has been designed basically for the angler. With comfortable seating for four persons (other optional seating available) and plenty of fishing room.

Anchor Bracket #11 is designed for use in the 16-RWE or 16-WTD. It will anchor the stern of the boat for drift fishing use. With the optional outboard motor bracket, you can use motors up to 10 h.p. The anchor bracket and outboard motor bracket are removable in seconds.

When the time comes for white water running, you are secure in knowing you have a little more protection. The white water ends are designed for keeping most of the water out of your boat and the equipment dry. Each compartment comes with a watertight hatch that has 2 over-center locking hasps.

The bow watertight storage compartment gives you 860# of displacement and the stern watertight storage compartment gives you 1100# of displacement. This boat design is very hard to roll over, but should this happen, the boat will be unstable upside down. With a little help from the oarsman or a small amount of wave action, the boat will right itself. When the boat returns to level position, the water inside the boat will be approximately 12" deep (it is heavy), but it can be rowed. A roll-over line (as shown on page 15) will aid in righting the boat.

The recommended oar for this boat is 9' long. Our break-down oar will store on top of the stern storage compartment (using the oar hold-down straps, page 15) or inside the boat.
