The 16-foot Outfitters Dory drift boat, while still using the same 16-R hull design, has an interior arrangement allowing the widest variety of river fishing ever conceived in a river boat. Designed around the professional guide or outfitter who takes two or three clients on one-to-three-day fishing trips, the allows the perfect balance by adjusting the front and/or the rowing seat. The front seat comes with built-in fish box with drain plug and a choice of 3-passenger roped seat lid or bench seatlid. The front seat will adjust 16". The rowing seat comes with tackle pockets and will adjust 21". There are two positions available for the oar locks and six positions for the foot brace. Both seats are held in with stainless steel carriage bolts and wing nuts for easy removal and will accomodate our seat backs. Our new top load deck comes with a watertight hatche with a locking over-center hasp. It has 8 1/4 cubic feet of storage space, giving 500# of displacement. This deck has built-in toe space and, with the optional knee braces, the angler will have secure footing. The rear compartment seat comes with top load watertight hatch with over-center hasp and has 4 3/4 cubic feet of storage space, giving 300# of displacement. Anchor bracket #10 is the best choice to use with this compartment. Anchor bracket #10 fairleads the rope around the hatch and down the right side of the boat to the forward ratchet pulley, then back to the clam cleat mounted on the rowing seat. This bracket allows uninterrupted use of the rear storage locker when using a stern anchor system. A fiberglass swivel bucket seat can be installed on the stern hatch for fly fishing.
